I hope it works out, I'm running Windows 7 64bit via Bootcamp. MBP would use less power, but that is to be expected although they are quickish, reliable, portable and sexy machines your Asus clearly had a bigger engine and extra USB ports :) My usual suppliers would insist I show/prove exactly how it's faulty before taking things back. You are very lucky you can return things because it's not quite right for your needs. If I can get 10mbit/s + all day in both directions I'm usually very happy. I have managed to avoid using them, mostly been using good 4G (LTE) Modem/Hotspot Single Device with external Antennas as required (when travelling, business fibre service HQ). On Asus 2 days ago I tried to use Multiview with 2 inputs (one gopro and second was HD Asus laptop's webcam) and GPU utilization increased to 40% (from 11%). For macbook pro I can use it so now it's totally clear for me - I have to use macbook, ordered already - I also made an agreement (just to be 100% sure) that I can give it back in two weeks without penalty. I returned my Asus already - it uses 19.5V and 9.23A - so not able to use additional battery pack (for example one produced by Lizone). However the price of Vidiupro is really the best - 1000 USD (Bond II is about 3,500 USD).ītw. Vidiupro is something like Bond II but can use only one USB modem, so if you need more cellular connections to bond, you need to use iphones - and I don't believe that it can be stable by bonding mobiles phone's 3G/4G connections. Bond I was just a bonding machine without encoder (cube was needed). I'm sure there may be a difference, but not that I've managed to detect or bother to try and find a way to measure the difference.īond II is device which combine both encoder and bond capabilities. Magewell is roughly the same, I've never noticed any increase or decrease vs a BM Mini Recorder. Low CPU is good, start some heavy video encoding, standard recording and multi-corder then you will see the CPU go up some. The BM Mini Recorder doesn't do 1080p 60. In that case even Macbook with geforce 750 with 4 camera has to be good enough! I am really surprised by vmix's low using of cpu. ![]() Do you think that Magewell eats more CPU? In vmix at start I set 1080p 25fp and I am able to see the video, just don't know what is the real resolution.ĬPU is at 3-4 % by using one camera - that's perfect. I can't change it in BM software, but hope it is 1080p in real. However Ultrastudio management shows me 1080i 50, but I think I set camera to 1080p. I was able to get input to vmix from Gopro 3+ via BM Ultrastudio mini recorder via HDMI. I've got my Asus yesterday, I did upgrade to Win 10 Already and installed vMix free trial for now.
